Postnatal classes require no experience. All classes on a drop-in basis and new students are always welcome.  Please arrive 5-10 min before class to register or pre-register ·in advance.

We provide yoga mats and additional props for your use during class free of charge. You may bring your own mat if you prefer, and a water bottle. We provide water and there is a restroom for your use. We also sell a variety of eco-friendly mats.

Postnatal classes:

When should I attend postnatal classes?
It is recommended when you and your doctor or midwife decide that you are ready to start. Usually, most mommas begin 6 weeks postpartum attending classes on a regular basis but again it is dependent on the individual and care provider. Open to all levels.

What can I expect from a postnatal class?
Currently we offer a postnatal class with Mom & Baby.
The Mom & Baby class is geared to the new mom and baby connection and spending time together. Class begins with about 5 minutes of check-in time with each new mom introducing selves, baby, and sharing any thoughts, concerns that come with being a new mom. Seated meditation connecting with baby, followed by gentle warm-ups, baby massage, standing postures with or without baby being held, a gentle cool down, deep relaxation finished with namaste. Each new mom is encouraged to do what they need to in order to take care of their new baby: feeding, changing diapers, and crying is expected and inevitable. So, enjoy your time being one on one with your baby and being in a community of other new moms just the way you and your baby are. Babies up to 1 year welcome.

What class card/membership should I buy if I want to come on a regular basis?
Our most popular class card is the Pre/postnatal card for 8 classes valid for 6 months. It is good for both the prenatal and postnatal classes. Some also like to take advantage of the New Member Special 2 months of unlimited classes and attended more than once a week.

When can I start attending regular classes?
When you and your doctor or midwife advise and your body feels ready to take on more physically. We encourage that you take time to gently reconnect to your new body in a new way because there have been many changes and it is important to listen and respect where your body is in the postpartum stage. Many of your ligaments are still loose, and your core needs to build more strength and stability. Take it slow and easy and when the time is right you will know.

We have an excellent educated and well trained staff offering prenatal and postnatal classes: Melissa Schussler-Paz, and Marcela Johnson.

As our classes have grown and we have begun to network with the birthing community around us we have developed a generous resource for pregnancy related issues. At the studio we have a library where you can check out books, and articles for up to two weeks at a time. We also have a prenatal board where you can find lists of doulas, midwifes in the area, childbirth classes, massage therapists, postpartum care, baby announcements from our prenatal mommas, and much more.
